There’s a dissociation called derealization where the external world feels unreal or dream like. About 74% of the population have experienced it.
I learned about dissociation in my abnormal psychology class, and it does occur pretty frequently. Dissociation, to put it in my own words, is like when you lose awareness of reality. You just pretty go into a trance or auto-pilot like state.
My professor talked about how it occurs when you’re driving and you become so used to a particular road that you no longer really pay attention anymore. And such, sometimes, you have no idea how you got to where you were going.
As for derealization, I’m actually not too familiar with the topic, but it seems to be a symptom of schizophrenia. If anyone knows more about this, they can message my inbox.
Hey guys, I just recently started a facebook page for fun, but it seems like it’s drawing some attention there as well.
If you guys like to interact more with me, you guys can like the page there:

Sometimes, I post facts there not on this blog so that might also be another perk.
Thanks.
